The village is located in North-Central Bulgaria (Veliko Turnovo District), which is part of Polski Trambesh Municipality. The village is situated in the heart of the Danube plane, 30 km far away from the old Bulgarian capital Veliko Tarnovo and the same distance from the beautiful town of Svishtov and the Danube river. Near the village An ancient road conected to the important Roman citys Nicopolis Ad Istrum (near Nikiup) and Nove (near Svishtov), passes close to the village.
In its history the village was divided into two separate hamlets - Tencha and Mekish
The village is big and it is with good infrastructure. The main road Russe-Pleven pass through it. In the summer of 2008, an complex with mineral swimming pool. Also there will be a new SPA complex.
